Maybe the difference on this board is between those who think Israel should not try to negotiate until the Palestinians really quit fighting, and those who think Israel should unilaterally pull out of the territories and they try to negotiate.

I have recently come to a third position. The parties in the middle east should be left alone to fight it out. North America and Europe should stay out until asked to provide help - only if there is a credible attempt for peace being made in the area.
