More gloom and doom pessimism from the left. As a nation becomes wealthier their birth rate naturally declines. Hong Kong and Japan are one of the most stable places on the planet, yet their population density is one of the highest in the world.

Freedom, free market capitalism, and a sound legal system to protect it, is what creates the environment around which wealth and stability co-exist, not low population levels.

Given current trends, the world's population will stabilize at about 7 billion people around the year 2050.
