Well there's no doubt you know what an American conservative is but you clearly have missed the point of the discussion and can't comprehend the universal definition of the term "conservative". Let me try one more time...you are an American conservative, but a hard line communist in Russia is a Russian conservative, ie a right winger. A hard line communist in China is a Chinese conservative, ie one who is resisting change in the Chinese political system. "I use that meaning like everybody else, except it appears, you and your left winged grasshoppers" You use the meaning like others in this country who can't think or understand much outside the borders of the USA. How about posting the definition of conservative from a couple of your dictionaries. Try: m-w.com bartleby.com
