Nadine, in a dictatorship they kill you if you go against the wishes of the dictator. I am sure that you and I can agree on that. Whether it is Hitler, Lenin, Mussolini or Mao. That is what causes people who refuse to fall in line to flee. But in a democracy such as ours we tolerate all sorts of behavior even if it hurts those families who were going about their business on 9/11, not occupying any land but instead working their butts off so that they can share their wealth with others. And those families could at least derive some consolation if the US went and got the US haters. But now we have others who say "Forget those families, forget the US. Give precedence to our problem even though we have occupied others' lands, continue to build settlements and thumb our noses to the world."

At least the Dalai Lama, who fled the wrath of the Chinese Communists in Tibet, does not thumb his nose. He preaches tolerance and love. He is loved here in the US not only because of his message but also because of his wisdom.
