Most of it is over my head, but slide 31 offers a good summary. It seems that Intel is researching both 193nm and 157nm lithography for 65nm, and believes that both are viable solutions. Previously, the industry seemed to think that 157nm lithography would be required, but now it looks like Intel's research is making progress on both fronts.

I would really have liked to have seen an update on EUV efforts in this presentation, but it's probably still proprietary. Looks like the only way 193nm is viable is with phase shift masks.
