Andrew Sullivan andrewsullivan.com has a bunch of good stuff on Fortuyn and the aftermath of the assassination on his site. Might be hard for some of us to understand, but this hit the Dutch the same way 9/11 hit us. They are in for some interesting times.

Can't find the link now, but over the weekend I came across an article that said there had been a car bombing over there. It occurred 5 days after the assassination. The target survived, he is a local member of the Christian Democrat Party and had said positive things about Fortuyn. In particular, he agreed with him on immigration. Fortuyn was in favor of a rollback, btw, not for halting it.

I guess when the media demonizes these guys so much, its a green light for left wing whackos to go ahead and kill them....
