I wisely jumped out of this with a very small profit, rather than waiting for a very large profit and ending up riding the stock to a nausiating loss.

It seems it must go back up. I'm watching too. Summer is a sucker's play. Always the low of the year on average, with major slumps, year after year, anyway that's what I've noticed, and then suddenly August earning season begins and the charts start their uptrend.
