Re-seller agreement with IER
Wednesday Jul 2 1997
Mr Peter Bennett reports AIT and IER have signed a re-seller agreement and have teamed up to deliver AIT's newest reader technology, the PAX Reader, to IER's major airline industry customers. The IER PAX Reader provides the airline industry, a secure, flexible and highly accurate solution for automatic document inspection and traveler data entry into airline, customs and immigration systems. The IER PAX Reader is capable of reading all ICAO and ISO compliant machine readable documents, as well as magnetic encoded data, including three and four track magnetic strips found on documents such as ATB coupons, boarding passes and credit cards. Totally independent of document swipe speed, the unit incorporates high resolution scanning and exceptional recognition rates for machine readable travel documents including passports, visas, ID cards and ATB coupons. Bi-directional swipe technology facilitates efficient and effortless operation and scanned data can be transmitted into any computer system for verification and storage. Superior versatility and reliability, a highly compact design, rugged construction and ease of use, combine to make the PAX the natural choice for integrated travel document reading. Founded in 1962, IER is a privately held French company with world leadership in the design and manufacturing of workstations and systems for automated ticketing, check in and access control of passengers, luggage and goods in air, rail and sea transportation networks.
