re: the rumors from Taiwan say that the new Athlon XP processors on 0.13micron Barton core will be produced by UMC Well, a rumor is only a rumor until it is corroborated. But the move of the 0.13 units to UMC could account for their MIA status ... and could eventually lead to a DOA status, if my own experience with complex architectures at foundries plays in this scenario.
