Your question exposed you in a rather deep way... Your question ("If you were not generalizing from experience, than you were.......what, blowing smoke?") was phrased in such a way as to suggest that your proposition was "either-or". It also ignored the fact that I was not generalizing from experience, and that I had told you so. As well, the fact that I told you I was not generalizing from experience shows that your ability to conceptualize an alternative was slightly higher than the level of an amoeba. You obviously believed that the only alternative to generalizing from experience was to "blow smoke"...by which you meant to suggest, that knowledge which is based on academic learning, or which is based on any of a variety of sources outside of individual experience, is unreliable and unsubstantiated (or as you say it..."blowing smoke"). Your premise is stupid, IMO. I have already said that it confronts reason with two clear alternatives in evaluating your remarks. And I gave those alternatives in the post which your latter post responded to...
