re: f it weren't for the fact that what happens in the Mideast could screw up things here, I would say ignore them, cut off all aid to both of them, and let them duke it out. This is becoming "stupid is as stupid does". Like most blood feuds, over time neither side makes much sense.

Agreed. The world is a very small place these days. A friend of mine kept talking about Afganistan (and I mean almost daily), for about a year prior to 9/11. My response was that I feel sorry for the people there, but unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about it, and since they are on the other side of the globe, it's too far to have any impact on us. As we now know, I couldn't be more wrong than I was about this.

Agreed? Would that mean letting Israelis stand alone against over a billion in united muslim nations and bleeding heart for everyone but Jews Europeans? What happened with our superior morality?

Are you forgetting that US help arabs more than Israel. In fact our economic aid to Egypt is almost as high as to Israel and Egyptians spend it on military and they hate us with a passion too.

Have you looked at map of Israel recently? In case you did not so let me remind you - odci.gov
west bank splits Israel in half in the environment of hostile nations surrounding Israel. And looking at the map, do you realize that even together with west bank Israel would still have a fraction of Palestine - Jordan is Palestine too and no Palestinian arab lay a claim for Jordan.

Ted is a low-life but I expected more from you
