Remember:
The man has insinuated that he has personal information about Poet, information about her life, that he might post, information that she wouldn't want known because it is in its nature private. He has already made reference online to a family situation involving her daughter. He has insinuated -- more than insinuated -- that he has in his possession compromising communications that he may also post publicly, for all (including her husband) to see. There are sexual insinuations in his allusions. He has sexual feelings about them, or wants us, and Poet, to think he does, clearly.
I think people forget that he has done these obsessed, vicious, caddish, scary, nutty things to Poet. It sort of slips their minds because it is so amazing that these things have happened on SI -- and been allowed to happen because...
he threatened to sue SI unless they would let him continue to engage with her!
so they removed the restriction and have left her to him.
And he has fully used the liberty to harass her he won by the legal threat. His psychological frottage continues even today.
I think people literally forget what he's been doing. But if it were their wife, or daughter, they wouldn't forget so easily. They would have retained an attorney long ago. |
