i know that Depot does, but only for a VERY small portion of their real estate. they own about 80% of their stores, with the rest subject to various operating and other off-balance sheet leases. it is all disclosed in excellent detail in their SEC filings. to the extent that you are looking for an "issue" here, i personally don't think that it is one.

on Lowes, i have no idea but if you read the 10K (pay careful attention to the 'liquidity and capital resources' section) it will be easy to find out.
