The number of chips available goes up as a square of the wafers radius (pi r squared). Unless every Ethopian child is into buying his/her second mobile (and there parents already planning to buy a PC and and a TV)... we have a problem.

It's not really as bad as that, most homes are stuffed with chips these days, as are autos, but the math is fairly simple. There are only so many people in the world who can buy chips.
