This AMAT profile you posted is exactly the kind of company I would avoid at all costs, it also points out how the Market is so inefficient at times. By way of comparison put AMAT side by side with LLL, or TRW, or NOC none of which have 1/10 of the free floats. AMAT is symptomatic of the Liquidity, traders prefer, support for these companies isnt based on anything but gambling and TA. Distribution of a 1 billion share float can take years not weeks or months.

You can have it.

People might some day come to seek out Value, and let liquidity be manufactured in their portfolios, because of accelerating demand. The problem for many is that the action isnt the same, it's investing versus trading.
