Sam, Re. Do you fall into one of the categories mentioned by the ex-Merrill broker above, i.e., referral from big account, heavy hitter, or friend of top-producing broker? Probably not. I have a decent-sized account with this firm, but I wouldn't call myself a heavy hitter, since I am mostly in long-term investing, only do LEAPS and other short term trading to the extent of 25% of my assets. I don't have any influential friends named Warren, Bill, or George. Ibexx
