On Monday HP announced its new regional top management headed by Joseph Hanania, former Compaq regional managing director. The new HP boss said he did not know yet whether there would be any redundancies in the newly merged operations. LOST AND FOUND WEBSITE: The Sharjah Police has announced the addition of a lost and found section to its website which is bound to prove a popular innovation. LOGICA, SMS OMAN: Logica has announced that it has enabled OmanTel to introduce a short messaging service in Oman. As part of the new text-messaging service, GSM subscribers in Oman can now send and receive e-mails via mobile phone.
