Because they wanted more then just most of the West Bank and Gaza. At a minimum they wanted all of the West Bank and Gaza and a "right of return". But many of them want all of Israel/Palestine.

Forget Israel for the moment. Let's just look at the WB and Gaza. Why are the Palestinians not being given the WB and Gaza? That was the original intent. However over the years, the amount of the occupied territories to be given has been reduced. Why?

I really think you are wrong here. They might want a piece of the West Bank, but they don't want all of it or Gaza. If they could give 95% of it up and gain a peaceful neighbor they would, but many suspect that whatever they give up they wont get peace, just a pause before the next attack.

I used to believe that but I don't any more. I think they want all of the WB and parts of Gaza. If they didn't, why have they settled over 200,000 Israelis into the occupied territories? And now they want to annex the settlements to Israel. How much land do you think there will be left in the WB. The WB is almost as small as Rhode Island with twice the population. In Gaza alone, there are 1.2 Palestinians. Please tell me that you would not be p*ssed if you were Palestinian.
