Flapjack,

Re: Cost to set up a phony HQ in Bermuda - The item you forgot is that Stanley, KPMG and a lot of the others who have gone before on this tax evasion scheme also launder their money through Barbados, or sometimes another tax free zone so that the IRS has a more difficult paper trail to follow to the Benedict Arnold Country Club.

So, you need to up your estimate on the cost of these extra operations.

I loved the irony that the Stanley shareholders would be hit with capital gains tax. Something that was pooh-poohed on Kudlow & Cramer on CNBC today, where the pundits speculated that the company would fail to issue 1099s, and the IRS would look the other way. A wonderful shaggy dog, IMO. (Perhaps Willcousa could fill us in on how this might work?)
