The difference is that you are snickering behind your hand because you think you can manipulate Jewel. But you cannot.
Can you imagine me ever mentioning your name on the SGBR thread?? Of course, you cannot. Nor can anyone else here. I do dispute ideas as a duty to myself. After all...Every evil vicious act in the world originated in some idea. But I don't attack people except in self defense.
I think Jewel's scriptures are stupid and created by humans to address human concerns. Jewel thinks my humanism is stupid, and a result of separation from "God". I have come to respect Jewel as a fine, decent human being (and this in spite of a recent situation where I considered him totally in the wrong). But I do not think his ideas about the Koran are sensible. And he is not feeble or vulnerable enough to encourage me to patronize his beliefs with half-truths or lies.
Your attempt to use Jewel's recent discussion with me as an associative technique to influence his integrity is doomed to failure. You really do not understand him. He despises manipulation, and he places ultimate value on integrity. I respect that. His posts are exactly what he is--like it or leave it. You, on the other hand, are manipulative and contriving.
