I agree, she most likely is genuine. To me, partisan means consistently glorifying your team and/or vilifying the other team. I don't think it matters whether one believes what one says or not--whether one is a paid mercenary or merely so enamored that one can't see a single fault. The net result is that you can't trust the assessment of a partisan. Partisanship compromises truth, whether deliberate or not. And it fosters rifts, whether they're inherent or not. Perhaps being deaf, dumb, and blind is less a character flaw than being deceptive, but the net result is the same.
