WEST KINGSTON, R.I., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- American Power Conversion (APC) today announced it is expanding its mobile product line to include DC/AC power inverters designed for the professional or recreational consumer. These new Mobile Power(TM) inverters, available in 140W(watt) and 350W models, are designed to provide power to a wide variety of 120V (volt) AC (alternating current) equipment. The 140W unit features a single power outlet, while the 350W version has dual outlets and two changeable power cords that enable the user to plug into the vehicle's lighter socket or connect directly to the battery. Both units are equipped with safety features such as an audible low voltage alarm and low voltage automatic shutdown to ensure that there will be enough power to start your vehicle.
Business users will enjoy the new 140W Mobile Power as it enables them to use their computer, printer, battery charger and other peripherals while on the road. Leisure users traveling by car, minivan, boat or camper will benefit most from the 350W model as it enables them to use a combination of two AC devices simultaneously: TV, video game consoles, VCR, work light, small power tools, etc.
