Firstly, as to tolerating his presence. The alternative was confrontation. As he was not posting directly to her, it was clearly rational and best that she not succomb to fear and leap onto the spider's web. A showdown would not have served the only purpose she desires...to be left alone without subtle threats and implied "relationships" of intimacy.

Or would you tell him: "No, Pal. You go F--K yourself."
