Now that is really hitting below the belt flapjack!! :)
Actually, after being pounded for quite some time, my core DRIP investments are recovering ever so slightly. My trading has been lousy at best. I did hit a quick score on Enron a few months back which helped a bit.
At this point the future looks bright though. Microsoft, Cisco and Intel (I believe), are poised for a breakout within the next year. So accumulation is in order.
Microsoft is especially looking strong going forward. Most analysis believe their strong growth days are behind them, but I don't. They've positioned themselves well in the gaming arena, have virtually destroyed RealNetworks in online video, are ramping up as a serious ISP competitor, and are moving steadily into the back-office, front office application software. Combined those growth areas with their core businesses, and you have a company with great potential going forward.
Through all the tech bloodshed, they've been hoarding cash, making strategic investments, and strengthening their position. The only thing standing in their way is a bunch of ambulance chasing lawyers hoping to suck a few more billion from their employees. |
