polarization need not remain acute........ IME, that is even more true in cyberspace than in real life. It always astonishes me how feelings ebb and flow here, how enemies one month are friends the next and enemies again the next While the atheists and agnostics among us may not have any experience with reconciliation, anyone who is an adherent of any of the Christian faiths (sorry, Jewel, I don't know about Islam, may be true there also) understands that reconciliation is an important goal--even an obligation--of the faithful.
