good thoughts HG. The old testiment shows how people have sinned in the past and the negative consequences of sin. Sin was simply breaking the Mosaic code of ethical and moral behavior. Christianity and Judaism do more than provide comfort. They create a moral and ethical compact with God. They provide guidance on how to live our lives. I know more about the above 2 than hinduism, buddism, the faith of Islam etc. which is why I use them as my example. John
