Velikovsky? What is scientifically known as a "crank". He had planets slipping and sliding all over the solar system in historical times. Such things as the Pharoah's problems with Moses were partly caused by this according to Velikovsky.

Now the solar system has turned out to be more dynamic than was believed 30 or 50 years. But that dynamism was mostly in the early solar system. Not 5,000 years ago.

So mostly Sagan was right.
