Waylon Jennings died a little while back. I was skiing in Fairmont when he passed on. A few days later I flew down to Scottsdale near where Jessie Coulter was staying. I am not sure why I am bringing any of these things up tonight. I guess it is the whole SI idiocy happening. It is like a King novel, or Stephen R. Donaldson...armies are gathering.... Anyway, one of the most heartfelt people I ever met was Waylon Jennings. You had to have been there. Here is a song which takes on the national imagery in these terrible days to come.
