Lars, I agree that it is inappropriate to post or disseminate newsletter contents before all subscribers have an opportunity to act upon any recommendations contained therein. The post on the utek thread irritated me too. But I also think that, when such a post is made, the right thing to do is to either ignore it or try to get it removed--NOT to contribute to further dissemination by pointing others to it, as you did in post#790 on this thread:

In attempting to get the original post #959 removed last weekend, I found that alerting the webmistriss didn't work because 1) the newsletter was paraphrased, not exactly reprinted, and 2) SI didn't know whether BB would object to the post, and had no means to contact him via email. The post was finally removed when the original poster himself requested removal.

Bob, since you may read this thread may I suggest to you that in order to streamline the removal of similar early posts of newsletter information in the future, you could either let SI know in advance that you don't approve of such posts, or, provide SI a means of contacting you when a question of this nature arises.
