Merrill Lynch upgrades AOL Time Warner in report 5/15/02

Analysts Jessica Reif Cohen and Andrew Slabin lift their
intermediate-term rating on the Internet and media giant to
"buy" from "neutral," arguing the share price now represents a
good value. The AOL division business fundamentals haven"t
improved, they say, but the stock reflects the downside and any
positive news should boost the shares. Reif Cohen and Slabin
also offer an extensive analysis of AOL's problems, such as
management credibility and financial constraints, and discuss
possible solutions. The company is likely to resolve its issues
quickly and cleanly, which should lift the shares, they say.
