ROFL Yet in Japan, this mentality (very high price = "even better") seems to work perfectly ... You need to get out more. Seen any BMWs or Porches lately? 4.0 l 4x4 SUVs being used as commuter vehicles? We could buy a lot of those darn melons for what the average American family throws down the trash compactor on a monthly basis. Conspicuous consumption is alive and well in the Good Old USA. It's just that culturally those wasteful things we compete with the Joneses to have more of are, well, culturally accepted. Just like optimism in Qualcomm is quite culturally accepted on this thread. John
