I did hear a little birdy say that FNM is going to get into the credit card business directly through a division of their parent company. The US Treasury Platinum Card (TM) will offer customers cash back, up to 20% in newly minted $100 bills. You will be able to receive discounts on cigarettes, gasoline, motor boats and new car purchases.

The interest rate will vary subject to frequent meetings, sometimes irrationally. Lowest interest will be prime plus 4%. All cards are backed by the Federal Government, up to $100,000 in secured equity positions. Equity positions may fluctuate, therefore actual credit card insurance may be more or less depending on market conditions.
