I'll grant you that the Bible was written over a longer period of time than the Buddhist scriptures, but would be trumped by religions that recognize the torah while having a new revelation (Islam, Mormonism, etc).

Your "scope" definition has as a prerequisite that the biblical definitions of beginning and end of time is accurate. The buddhist canon would define these as the begininning and ending of the current "expansion/contraction period", with the creator-God simply confused by his own longevity into believing that he is eternal (the Buddha lectures him to set him straight on this point). But there are descriptions of previous buddhas in expansion/contraction periods before the current one (before the Biblical beginning of time), and more are expected after this expansion/contraction period. So, technically, the biblical expanse of time covered is just a small chunk of that covered by the Pali canon.
