(PR NEWSWIRE) HBO and SHOWTIME Select Talent for June 8 Pay-Per-View Telecast Of Lewis vs. Tyson From the Pyramid Arena in Memphis, Tennessee

NEW YORK, May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- SHOWTIME and HBO have selected the talent for the pay-per-view telecast of the June 8 world heavyweight championship showdown between Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson. HBO Sports Executive Producer
Rick Bernstein and SHOWTIME's executive producer Jay Larkin, in an unprecedented arrangement, are overseeing and coordinating the elaborate live production telecast of the much-anticipated showdown between reigning world
heavyweight champ Lennox Lewis and challenger Mike Tyson.

The fight card will start live on pay per view at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on June 8 from the Pyramid Arena in Memphis, Tennessee.

Named to the telecast team for Lewis-Tyson are: Jim Lampley, Bobby Czyz, James Brown and Jim Gray. Lampley, who has been a signature talent of HBO's boxing telecasts since 1988, will call all the action from ringside. He has called the blow-by-blow on more than 350 fights on HBO. Lampley will be paired at ringside with expert analyst Bobby Czyz, who joined SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING in 1996.
Czyz, a two-time world champion, won 48 bouts, 28 by KO, during his professional boxing career. Brown, who has hosted HBO Pay-Per-View telecasts and served as a REAL SPORTS correspondent since 1995, will serve as host of
the pay-per-view telecast from Memphis. Jim Gray, SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING's Emmy Award-winning reporter, will handle on-site reporting duties for the live telecast and follow any developing storylines.

"Collectively, we believe that we have the best announcers in boxing," Larkin said. Since we are co-producing this monumental event, it made sense to bring together members of both of our talented teams for the pay-per-view telecast."
"We really believe we have assembled a broadcast team that will deliver all the insights, observations, commentary and news that boxing fans have every expectation of seeing on June 8," Bernstein said.

The unique telecast will feature a branding of "Lewis-Tyson" on animation, graphics and microphone clips, rather than a traditional network designation. Dave Harmon has been named the producer of the live telecast and Marc Payton
will direct.

LEWIS - TYSON is presented by Budweiser and promoted by Lion Promotions, Main Events and Fight Night, Inc., in association with Prize Fight Promotions, LLC. The historic heavyweight showdown is being co-produced and co-distributed by HBO and SHOWTIME and will be available to approximately 50 million pay-per-view homes.
