Yes if that was my definition of terrorist then the founders of this country would be terrorists or at least some of them where. They waged war and in war innocent civilians do get killed. Of course this is not and has never been my definition of terrorism.

My definition of a terrorist would be someone who targets and kills innocent civilians deliberately so as to cause terror. Waging war knowing that some innocent civilians will be killed doesn't make you a terrorist.

Tim, our forefathers targeted British civilians and had them scalped. That caused a great deal of terror among the scalpee and his kin.

Therefore, according to your definition of terrorism that makes our forefathers terrorists.
