Cable & Wireless is debt free & has over 4 billion US CASH with zero bank/bonds outstanding.

They also have one of the most comprehensive international network (IP & ATM).

I suspect they are starting to take some Wcom customers right now.....although the floodgates haven't opened yet as corporate fortune 1000 customers tend to want to avoid having to transfer their network unless Wcom really implodes.

New contracts are a different matter -- here is where Wcom may face problems...

After all, if you are a fortune 100 customer, and you have similar proposal from Wcom and C&W, why would you take Wcom and it's attendant risk?
