<But what is that productivity rate of a tax attorney who is scheming to move Stanley Works to Bermuda in an utterly phony paper transaction? >

Raymond, a similar productivity rate to somebody hiding a Jew when the Nazis come knocking on the door. Maybe they hide Einstein and not much later we have the antigravity machine.

There's more to life than tax collectors and mob rule by voters electing people who will take money from producers and give it to slave-drivers.

The lawyer protects capital from destruction. That's a very valuable thing to do. The lawyer is preserving freedom. Freedom is a good thing.

Measuring productivity is difficult, but with cyberspace, photocopiers, 747s, and many other technologies, the lawyer is able to process many more escapes to Bermuda than a couple of decades ago, for a much lower cost. That's an improvement in productivity.
