My theory about the "Israeli art student" story is that it's being run by Mossad, with the intention of letting us know how much they know and how much they can hurt is bad if we try to play tough with them. The "students" came here with knowledge which could only have been obtained by prior surveillance, and they made a lot of noise to make sure we knew they were here. They're a message. OTOH, maybe the message is how easy our security is to penetrate, so we better toughen up. Maybe we're paying them to test our security. Could go either way, but these are the only scenarios that make sense.
