Paul. Wow! Now "that" is impressive (I'm serious). But what you say here:

>> Presumeably Mr. Simpson goes back to his group and noone does spin control. Its not Simpson's job to follow up with the press and do spin control. The PR Department goes on to say the Austrailian Brainshare Wolfpack announcement and no one is left to follow up.

Making this single change---making it someone's responsibility to report directly to Schmidt, to do spin control and to craft the public image of the company would do Novell a world of good. <<

Let me change one word (2nd para. 1st sentence ... "Making this "simple" (versus "single") change--"

Paul - (I know you know this) ... Microsoft, for example, makes an entire "career" out of this one, singular, area of doing business. And it is probably (IMHO) one of the most IMPORTANT areas OF their business (which keeps them "getting the business").

Why can't they expend a "princely salary" to find someone to do this job? Even "steal" someone from Microsoft (for the right price, they'll get one .... ). I certainly would not mind a piece of that 1B spent on
an expenditure like that.

I sure hope Eric Schmidt has what you are suggesting to do on his agenda.

Thanks for all the work to get that info!

Joe...
