>>>The "students" came here with knowledge which could only have been obtained by prior surveillance<<<
Congratulations. You win the cigar.
For many years now, when young Israelis complete their mandatory military service, a very large percentage takes off a year and tours overseas. There are well-beaten paths, using information from previus travelers on where it's cheap to stay, where they can get a job, where they can mooch a bed. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an Israeli version of "US on $20 a day." I've even run into them hustling postcards in Tokyo; in the US, driving ice cream trucks in summer used to be a good gig. I hadn't heard about selling cheap "art," but it wouldn't surprise me. Someone surveilled it, said it looks like a winner and the e-mails flew from whereever to buddies, male and female, back home. And the crowd came, some to be deported for overstaying their visas.
>>>>Maybe we're paying them to test our security<<<
CB, I think you're getting hotter. But might have been a freebee in exchange for Bush letting Sharon try to wipe out the suicide bomber crowd in Jenin.
The Justice Department labeled the allegations an "urban legend." But then maybe that was just a cover story to muddy the trail, ordered by AIPAC, which secretly donated $29M of the $30M Bush gathered from his record fund-raising gala the other night. |
