Let me get this straight: Germany declares war on the U.S., and you want to play that off as a humanitarian mission by the U.S.?
The US could have put any sort of gov't it wanted over both W. Europe and Japan at the end of WW2. If it favored dictatorships so much, why didn't it install dictatorships instead of getting the democracies going again?

Why haven't you come up with any examples of our support for democracy post-WWII?
Cold War? Missiles aimed USSR to hold them off the real estate? I'd say we did quite a bit.

Nicarauga is now a democracy. Previously it was a left wing dictatorship. Although I get he impression you don't mind those.

And Panama is a democracy.
