I understand that you have some animus toward Poet over some Catholic issues.
Not really. I disagree with her views, but it is no big deal. If I am developing some animus toward Poet, it would be more for allowing so many people to spend so much time and to develop such bitter feelings -- all for the purpose of talking about --- "Poet." I would have more respect for her if long ago she had stepped in and said, "Hey, people, don't let this all this stuff go on just to try to solve my problem; I'll work it out somehow for myself." I think that only very self-absorbed people allow others to fight their battles for them, while oblivious or uncaring as to the costs involved for those persons.
I am not suggesting that you stop supporting your friend btw.
CH is no more a friend of mine than you are, or anyone else who posts on SI. I don't know him any better than you do, nor have any more contact with him than you do on these boards.
I would be happy to just let this thread sleep for a while
I would, too. And I think that is what will happen. I just watched "Session 9" on video, the story about a clean-up crew working in the abandoned Danvers State Mental Hospital in MA, and gradually going insane as the old ghosts and phantoms of the creepy place take over their souls. I couldn't help but draw a parallel with what I have been involved with here. I think I will be devoting more of my time to my two Golden Retrievers.
A ton of hurt feelings have been caused here, and I think it is long beyond the point where any good result is possible no matter what happens now. BTW, I have no hard feelings about you whatsoever. Peace. |
