If anyone has read Cynthia Kase's Trading With The Odds I'm interested in coding in TS the last chapter which describes Universal Bars. Or at least my understanding of her concept which is that all bars equal n units of ATR. I've just outlined my goals and I'm aware that it won't look anything like what she pictures in the book but the math will track correctly and I can manage some type of plot statement that works around what basically is just a visual problem.

Theoretically when a bar reaches lets say 1 unit of ATR it moves to the next location on the time axis and begins building the next bar. I can't control the time axis in TS but I can track where the bars are within their development stage at a particular moment in time. This is a bit different than P&F charts or 3 line break charts and I believe it has advantages that compliment the other areas I focus on.

Just tossing this out to see if anyone wants to compare notes. I'm going to do this privately and won't be releasing the code or posting the charts but I'm willing to talk about it. Most people probably won't have any use for this technique but it dovetails nicely with what I normally do so I'm opening up discussion, particularly in regards to TS code, in order that I might get some help when I get stuck.

I'm a skeptic about lots of things including posting this note but I can only control my actions and not anyones response to this so it seems like a good idea at the moment to state I'm working on it and looking for others who want to discuss how it can be implemented in TS.
