It's unfortunate that some cannot handle difficult facts, if it leads to criticism of a particular personality or leader.
It's hero-worship.
Of course, it may also be worship of the pocketbook, if one's income comes from the government, directly or indirectly from Bush Inc.
I think the last heroic president for me was TR. JFK would have made it, but they took care of that before he had a chance. FDR showed leadership, but there are questions about Pearl Harbor. Eisenhower had balls enough to warn about the Military-Profiteering Complex. Reagan was a pleasant enough stand-in ("what? I can't hear you, the chopper blades ..."), and easily manipulated by Bush & Co.
The current dupe is a shill, nothing more. So, we have to look behind the scenes at the combine, what their actions are, and guess their motives.
What makes malfeasance dead certain is the lengths the administration will go to hide information, going back 20 years to earlier Bush, and going forward, as far in the future as they can go.
Where there's secrecy in government there's criminality, every time. |
