It had gone nowhere, and was going nowhere. The company is very clear about cutting out the "we'll design a test to fit your trial" elements, but they sure were wimps about clarity, huh?

Yes, I presume that the Covance deal is kaput.

Couch got 2/3 of the "bonus"...........

I presume that 1/3 is the budget with layoffs (today's release). He gets the blame, so that those who stay behind don't have to bear the stain. The two deals are the other third? Novartis and ??????. Neither the GeneMatrix nor Third Wave deal seem to fit the "a high-profile clinical study" description, so I presume that there's another letter of intent out there??? But given this Board, maybe they went soft on him and gave him credit for Third Wave. I hope not.

I still believe that the third third was "arrange to sell the company".

Rick Shea seems to be a straight up guy. I don't know Mohr, but he's got one heck of a lot of clarification to get busy with. They can start with the REAL status of the BI program, now that Crouch and his fairy tales are gone. It's really a SHAME that they didn't use today's release as an opportunity to grow guts.

I hope that everyone who lost their job can land one elsewhere, with convenience and decent compensation. It seemed like a particularly nice group.
