I think you don't credit the unhappiness and anxiety CH has caused to Poet and her husband.

Why you don't, when the viciousness of CH's obsessive campaign has been there for you to see, I don't know. I can only assume that it is another case of our old friend, The Effect of Motivation On Perception.

It has been cruel, and had its effect.

Of course you think the now-withdrawn proposal was "too restrictive." You trust CH. You don't think what he's done is vile. I suspect that, like Dithers, you to some degree blame his victim.

You aren't helping CH by making him believe that there might be some hope that the window of opportunity for sexy-to-him mischief would be left open for him.
