This is a good point to repost my initiating comments:

I would like to take this occasion to note my non- participation in beating the dead horse. I thought I had achieved some clarity when Chris started acting like he had the brains and self- awareness of a nerf ball, not too long ago, but I keep stumbling on the fact that I really have no very good idea of what happened in the first place, especially in a way that I can verify independently of the parties to the dispute. When the matter of Poet's suspension came up, I found that I believed his protests, which made me wonder if someone were not trying to set him up for it. I have known CH longer than Poet. I like them both, and it is always possible that one would be surprised to learn of the major kink that someone has. However, only up to a point did the alleged bad behavior seem consistent with the CH I know; after that, I found myself scratching my head, and wondering if things were not getting overblown. Part of the problem is that CH often starts acting stupid when he gets defensive, because he resents having to defend himself, and tries to turn the tables. I have seen it in other contexts, and it actually would account for the behavior that had recently exasperated me. The upshot of his behavior overall was that he was sick of being left out of the action on the SMBR because of solicitude to Poet. His stupid twist was to make it sound like a threat, when it was more a whine, in the nature of "why should I follow your rules if you will not take into account my complaints?" Anyway, the main thing is that it is in this context, where I cannot say for sure that Chris is exclusively at fault, that I last week answered a a handful of posts from him, concerning other matters. If I refused to talk to everyone I thought had acted liked an assh--e at one time or another, I would find it hard to participate on most thread with any coherence. Besides, Chris has never done anything to me that I take much offense at, unlike some whom I do not cut or continually berate. Now, if others think it is worthwhile to continue beating the moldering carcass, they may carry on........
