.Assuning Israel did chase most of them during that war...so waht now? It created facts on the field,thats life.

Similarly, Nazi Germany created facts in the fields of Auschwitz. That's life. Leaving your ugly world and reentering civilization, there is a concept called "reparations" for war crimes. Agreeing to allow the refugees to return was part of the UN act that created the state of Israel. Israel has violated its very creation in blocking these refugees from returning. Of course, even the Palestinian refugees are willing to be pragmatic and accept some sort of face-saving gesture in lieu of full return. This has been made clear by Arafat at Camp David and other negotiations.
