As far as I am concerned Newmont's first quarter report is flawed. They reported about the same number of ounces for Q1-02 as Q1-01, which made it appear revenue went up versus last year. They included 6 weeks of Normandy production for 2002 (at least 300,000 ounces), which really means production went down compared to last year. Nevada Ops and Superpit are not doing well, which is affecting both Barrick and Newmont.
