Houston Industries changed its name to Reliance Energy,REI. It spun off 17% of RRI (Reliant Resources) in an IPO, which contained the IPP asset and trading portion of the company. REI still owns 83% of RII and is/was planning to spin off the remaining RRI to it shareholders. Then REI would change its name again to CenterPoint Energy (CEP). from their(REI) annual report:
...$46 billion in annual revenue and total assets exceeding $30 billion...)
